I am the eternal optimist. I believe that if you surround yourself with positive people, one can accomplish great things.

On why I decided to start Gamma Delta  Iota... -  First let me say that we are in no way affiliated with a real life sorority. We are established in the virtual realm of Second Life.  Respectfully, I admire real life sororities who accomplish real sisterhood.  I would say that we do strive to emulate that.  Gamma Delta

Iota earnestly seeks to reach out in Second Life and bring women together in the spirit of sisterhood that goes beyond the game of Second Life into real life. At the end of the day, I envision a sisterhood of women who meet in Second Life that can call upon each other and be there in real life for one another.

Like other reputable sisterhoods, I wanted to be a part of implementing a vision that involves a honest sisterhood and forming lasting friendships built on  mutual love, respect, and honor  I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself that would provide an avenue for women to come together and not only bond with eachother, but to grow intellectually and socially with other organizations. The goal is to make a positive impact all around; within our organization, within ourselves individually, and with others.

Being a relatively new sisterhood, established September 2013, I have learned so much about myself, about dynamics in dealing with others. We have grown; not only in a number sense but in regards to perseverence.  It can be a challenge bringing women together. I have seen people come and go in a short time, even in leadership. I say respectfully that in any organization, you will have those challenges.  I am a firm believer that committed, mature women who want something genuine, will be determined to have just that, a sincere sisterhood. It starts with acceptance, accepting that each one of us are unique. We have flaws, yet offer our gifts, talents, and heart of friendship to one another. It takes communication and a heart to forgive one another and move forward. Also, being a active contributor is essential, knowing that sisterhood is not for show. It takes involvement and thats the platform that Gamma Delta Iota stands on.

On a personal note- I'd like to to say I am a "Student of Life." There is always something new to learn. I dont think I'll ever get to the point where I feel I know everything about any one subject.  I love learning new things and being creative. Also, I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of life.
